The Challenge 🧐

What does it mean to live a good life—and who gets to decide? In a world driven by speed, algorithms, and outcomes, students are challenged to slow down and reflect on what truly matters. Thoughtscapes asks the uncomfortable questions. You’ll explore beauty, truth, power, justice, and the choices we make—not just in business or media, but in life.

Our Experience ✈️ 🇬🇷

Over the term, students explore big ideas through small-group discussions, films, essays, and creative work. Then, in the final weeks, they take those ideas to Athens—one of the most historically significant cities in the world for democracy, ethics, and the arts.

They walk through ancient ruins and modern art galleries. They examine cultural memory, civic duty, and the legacy of the past. And then, on the island of Hydra—with no cars and no distractions—they take time to reflect, create, and ask their own questions.
Instead of writing a final exam, students build a creative portfolio of everything they’ve experienced in Thoughtscapes that brings together their reflections, their values, and their personal voice.

Work Hard, Play Hard! 🇬🇷😎

Some of the best lessons happen at the lunch table. After exploring ancient sites and big ideas, we slow down. Students sit together, share a meal, and talk about everything from ethics to espresso. It’s not just about the food (though the baklava is unforgettable). It’s about connection—laughing, reflecting, and making memories.

Oh, we made a new friend on the island and named her Baklava – for obvious reasons.

The Takeaway 💡

Thoughtscapes changes how students think—not just about the world, but about themselves. It challenges them to take responsibility, to create with intention, and to recognize the human side of every career. Whether they become entrepreneurs, designers, developers, or analysts, this experience grounds their work in empathy, ethics, and meaning.
